Homes and Rainbows

Taken with my cell phone on Valencia Street at 23rd, facing east. The buildings in this city consistently catch my eye and put me in moments of awe. Their size, their stature, the co-exisitng colors, the many shapes coming together or pushing apart, the angles, the similarities and differences of the places next door letting some places blend in while making others seem so much more striking. It all easily leads to some contemplation about the city and its neighborhoods. The history of these homes is so rich. Families, friends, strangers coming together for the long term or the short term. The present conditions and the lack or abundance of love that one can easily spot or miss. The curiosity of the future of some of these gorgeous places that aren't getting enough attention. Sometimes the homes and the communities/neighborhoods blend into one. How do we differentiate between the two?
